Our neighbor to the northeast, the town of Ashton is truly at the base of the mountains. It’s the last place to gather your courage and gear up for your recreational adventures. Highway 20 runs right through the town, and is on your way to Island Park ID, and West Yellowstone MT. For the Scenic Route, jump off Highway 20 right in town, and head East on Highway 47. It goes through scenic Warm River, Bear Gulch, and Famous Mesa Falls. It converges right back onto Highway 20 near Harriman State Park, just south of Island Park.
